My name is Renee and I’m so glad you are considering me to photograph your family.
I’m slightly addicted to my phone, I love a good cup of tea, I would happily entertain friends and family every night of the week- I love a night with yummy food and laughs. Sleeping in on a weekend is one of my favourite things to do and I don’t go to the hair dresses any where as much as my grey hairs require me too ;P
I am very lucky to be able to have a home based studio, so Monday to Friday after school drop off if I’m not behind my camera taking beautiful images I’m behind the computer editing up a storm.
I specialise in Newborn photography, however I still enjoy getting growing belly, a chubby 6 month old, a giggling one year old and even loud, happy family in front of my camera. One of the many perks of this job is getting to follow along on your journey and capturing the important moments of return clients.
These little newborns need us to take the health and safety of their session very seriously. This is why my family and I are up to date on our immunizations and I have public liability insurance. I have completed a caring for children’s course with Saint Johns. I also take photography courses throughout the year, this helps maintain and improve my skills. One of the courses I took had a neonatal nurse talk to us about ways to pose newborns safely.
My two children- Cohenn 14 and Payton 10 are completely different but so similar. It feels like only yesterday that they were newborns themselves. I think people can tell you it goes fast, I know I had people say it to me – but until you have your own baby you really don’t realize just how fast they grow up!
This is one of the reason I have focused my business around photographing newborns – is making sure parents have memories from the time their little babies hand could curl up around dad’s finger and that their beautiful curled up body could fit so perfectly in a mum’s embrace. Another reason I love capturing the perfect-ness (that’s a word now..) of newborns is they are just that – perfect.
To be able to carry and then bring earth side a baby is truly a miracle and deserves to be remembered for generations to come.
